OAKLAND, CA - March 21, 2012 - Go2Paper (www.go2paper.com), a leading provider of e-business tools and services for the global paper industry, announced today consumer electronics retailers Best Buy Canada and Future Shop have selected Go2Paper's PaperManager (www.papermanager.com) to manage their paper orders. PaperManager allows retailers, catalogers, and magazine publishers to collaborate online with their paper suppliers and printers to more efficiently manage paper orders and inventory.
PaperManager, Software as a Service (SaaS) model, also known as Cloud Services, allows each user to access their paper orders online from any computer. It doesn't add any overhead to their current IT infrastructure and is easily updated with new features as the system is managed by Go2Paper on their secure servers. Each company in the supply chain is informed and updated with the paper order information. Paper buyers enter their paper orders into PaperManager, while the suppliers receive and confirm the orders. The service keeps track of paper shipped from the mill, received at the printer, actual consumption, and remaining inventory, which can be used for future print jobs. Plus, with complete XML capability, paper users can download their orders directly into their accounting systems.
Best Buy Canada's, Karen Moll, Senior Media Buyer, says, "In PaperManager, we found a system that helps us better manage our paper orders and inventory with our suppliers. Plus, it provides better visibility into the inventory we may use for future print orders helping reduce our inventory levels. It's really a time saver for us." As new paper orders are placed, PaperManager alerts the buyer if there's existing inventory that matches their needs so they may use that inventory prior to ordering new paper.
Mike Conran, Go2Paper CEO, said, "Customers such as Best Buy Canada and Future Shop are ideally suited to gain greater efficiencies by using PaperManager. By providing customers with better visibility to their paper orders, inventory, and total costs, they can spend more of their time with other critical tasks."
The service is being offered to Retailers, Catalogers, and Magazine Publishers on a monthly subscription with no up front fees or integration costs, so customers can start using it immediately.
Go2Paper provides technology and services for the print and paper industry, including the Paper Marketplace, an online source to buy/sell excess paper, Private Web, PaperManager, and Professional Services.
